Step 1: On the top of the Member’s Area home page (in your email receipt, you received a link to that page), you will see the download links for the Ultimate Business Plan Template and Ultimate Financial Model. All you need to do is click on these links with your RIGHT mouse button.

Step 2: Once you click on the first link with your RIGHT mouse button, you’ll see a menu open up on your screen.

If you have Internet Explorer you are going to choose “Save Target As…” to download the file to your desktop. (If you have Firefox you choose “Save Link As…”

Step 3: Once you select “Save Target As…” or “Save Link As..” and click on it with your left mouse button, a download screen will come up asking you where you want to save the file to on your computer.

Step 4: Click the “Save” button with your left mouse button and the download will start automatically.

Step 5: Repeat for the Ultimate Financial Model

Note: You should save the files to your “Desktop” or another folder you can easily find. Make sure you save both files to the same folder so that you can link them successfully. Once you have downloaded the files, just go to your desktop or the folder you save it to and double click the file to open it.

Yes, the template is compatible with any computer that has Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

If you do not have one of these programs, there are free alternatives including OpenOffice and LibreOffice (http://www.libreoffice.org/). While we only provide support for Microsoft Office (where we guarantee compatibility), many entrepreneurs have been able to complete the Ultimate Business Plan Template with these free program solutions as well.

Please make sure you have the Ultimate Financial Model spreadsheet (.xls) downloaded/saved in the same folder as the Ultimate Business Plan Template (.doc). Next, check to make sure the Word document is correctly linked to the excel document by right-clicking one of the charts. Choose “Linked Worksheet Object” then choose “Links…” Please point the links to the location of the Ultimate Financial Model as necessary to restore the connection between the files.
