12/7/2021 Tip: Features vs. Benefits

Today’s Quote

“Business has only two functions – marketing and innovation.”
~ Milan Kundera

Today’s Tip

Yesterday I mentioned how having a strong USP (unique selling proposition) will help positively distinguish your company from others.

In addition to a strong USP, make sure you detail the benefits of your products and/or services to your customers.

For example, do your products or services:

  • Remove customers’ pain
  • Save them time
  • Improve their success
  • Make them feel better
  • Etc.

You generally want to provide a list of features associated with your products/services, but lead with the benefits.

Want More Customers? (Do this now…)

If you want more customers, you need a better marketing plan.

A better marketing plan will focus your efforts on the activities that will actually work… so you generate more leads, customers and increase your sales and profits.

The problem is this — creating a marketing plan from scratch could take you 100+ hours — and you don’t have time for that!

And I’ve got good news today…

Using my proven marketing plan template, you can create an effective marketing plan in just 1 day!

Trivia

Today’s Question: Lending her name to a famous brand, who was the Greek Goddess of Victory?

Previous Question: What was the original name of the Bank of America?

Previous Answer:  Bank of Italy.

Amadeo Peter Giannini started the Bank of Italy in San Francisco in 1904. The bank was designed for the hardworking immigrants that the big banks refused to serve. After a merger he changed his bank’s name to Bank of America.
