“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
~ Mother Teresa
This week I’m going to be talking about ways to outperform your competition.
The first is to create a vision and stick to it.
Here’s what I mean by that… Spend the time to create a solid vision of the company you want to create. For example, my vision at Growthink is to become the number one place where entrepreneurs go for assistance in starting and growing their companies.
When you have a solid vision, you will not make knee-jerk reactions to your competitors’ actions. Rather they will react to you. Also, while competitors’ actions may cause you to shift your strategies, if you have a set vision, you will spend less time strategizing and more time executing.
The right plan…
The right strategic plan for your business includes:
1) the best strategy to follow
2) a written roadmap so there’s no confusion as to what your team needs to accomplish and when
In no time, you’ll have a strong plan to follow so your company wins.
Why play the game of entrepreneurship if you’re not going to win?
Today’s Question: What business was Ferruccio Lamborghini in before he started manufacturing his now famous Lamborghini automobiles?
Previous Question: How long was the office lease that beer-maker Arthur Guinness signed when he launched his company?
Answer: 9,000 years
Believe it or not, beer-maker Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000 year lease for his company’s original (and still today) premises at St James’ Gate in Dublin.
Legend has it that Guinness was so confident in his fledgling business that he happily signed the lease.
