Growthink Powers DCIP's Digital Strategy

September 2007 found Digital Cinema Implementation Partners (DCIP), charging Growthink, DCIP’s Strategic Advisory Firm, which specializes in providing capital and advisory services to the media and entertainment industry, with a formidable task: develop a business plan for DCIP, a consortium representing 14,000 of the nation’s 37,000 movie screens, to upgrade its screens so they could present Digital and 3D content. Six months later at ShoWest, the motion picture industry’s premiere business confab, DCIP announced that it was nearing $1.1 billion in financing for the conversion project.

Growthink’s success on behalf of DCIP illustrates that the alliance between Wall Street and Hollywood is permanent—and very promising:

“Media and entertainment companies are establishing partnerships with investment banks like Growthink for one reason: we provide them with the sophisticated advisory and  deal-structuring experience critical to their continued success,” said Emily Burg, Growthink’s Director of Strategy. “Our entertainment and new media practice has a wide scope,  from industry veterans like Atari, to independent innovators such as Gabriel Pictures, to mobile content leaders like Xcape and Varadigm.”

“Building this new digital platform which will develop and distribute content, requires access to investment capital and deep industry knowledge—and Growthink provides our entertainment and media clients with both.”
